One of the speakers reminded us that, as Doctoral students, we should be writing.  Everyday.  Even if we have little to say, we should sit before our writing tool of choice and begin writing.  By the end of the year, we\u2019ll have come great strides in learning how to communicate our thoughts.<br \/>\nI didn\u2019t start yesterday because I was so worn out from the Symposium that I just couldn\u2019t do it.  So here I am today.  My plan is to write my entry for the day, then post it to the Blog that is relevant to me.  Some will be personal and appear on that blog and others will be focused on Robots or other Tech and posted there.<\/p>\n<p>As a Mason, I have been taught that no great undertaking should be begun without first invoking the Blessings of Deity.  It took me a bit to find a Prayer I liked but here goes:<\/p>\n<p>Dear Creator,<br \/>\nGive me a few friends<br \/>\nwho will love me for what I am,<br \/>\nand keep ever burning<br \/>\nbefore my vagrant steps<br \/>\nthe kindly light of hope&#8230;<br \/>\nAnd though I come not within sight<br \/>\nof the castle of my dreams,<br \/>\nteach me to be thankful for life,<br \/>\nand for time&#8217;s olden memories<br \/>\nthat are good and sweet.<br \/>\nAnd may the evening&#8217;s twilight<br \/>\nfind me gentle still.<\/p>\n<p>And because I\u2019m a Doctoral Student,<br \/>\nREFERENCES<br \/>\nBirch, J.
